HERE WE GO GERMANY

Today we travel to Gerabronn in Germany. Remember this is the 4th edition of this School Exchange.

This year's group is made up of 15 Bachillerato Year 1 students and two teachers. We are looking forward to seeing our already friends since we have been in contact with our partners since early November.

We will stay in Germany until March 22nd and we have planned many activities like hiking, savage hunting, sightseeing, cooking, visiting museums, partying...

The German group will come to Spain from 8th until 17th May.

Mi nombre es Chloe Duff y soy una estudiante internacional de Canadá. 

I’m sixteen years old, and I love to spend time with my family, friends, and play ringette which is a Canadian sport. I’ve been learning Spanish at my school in Canada for two years, so I decided to take part in an exchange to be immersed in Spanish and learn more.

Andalusian autonomy commemoration

A day just like today, 28 years ago, Andalusian citizens voted for autonomy. To commemorate this event, our school's 4th grade students have been working in a serie of posters studying the historical evolution of Andalusia since the 18th century. The end of the Ancien Regime, the 1812 Cadiz Constitution, industrialization, Republic, Civil War, Dictatorship and Democracy... our students now have a wide and comprehensive perspective of Andalusian history. They worked very hard, and here you have what they did... Nice work everybody!

XII JORNADAS CULTURALES Y DEPORTIVAS

Como cada final de segundo trimestre (y ya van 17 ediciones), nuestro IES ha preparado unas JORNADAS llenas de talleres, deportes, representaciones, la final del concurso de debates, etc. Animamos a todo el alumnado a participar en ellas.
Aquí tenemos los carteles anunciadores.

Por cierto, en el tercer trimestre, algunos grupos de 3º ESO bilingües van a comenzar a debatir en inglés primero en clase y si se animan ante gran público en la biblioteca del IES a la hora del recreo. Ya iremos informando.

REVOLUTION TIME!!

These two weeks our library is offering an interesting exhibition on different revolutions that have shaped our modern world. The Industrial Revolution, the Neolithic Revolution, the French Revolution, the American Revolution, etc. Humanity has suffered different changes along history and we are the result of them.

Jiselle, has prepared an interesting poster with the basics of the American Revolution.

Every class is going to see the exhibition according to a schedule.

INTRODUCING MIRNA

This year we have a new Erasmus intern at our school. She comes from Croatia and will be with us until May. Her role is that of an English language assistant and will collaborate mainly to improve our students' speaking and interaction skills.

" Hi! My name is Mirna and I am 25 years old. I graduated from University of Osijek and in Croatia I will work as a primary teacher and/or an English teacher. People usually describe me as a friendly and talkative person and my friends say I am very honest no matter what the situation is. While working with children I always try to make it a fun experience for them. In my spare time I try to be an active person. 
Why Spain? I really love to travel and explore new places and. I was in Czech Republic for six months last year working as an Erasmus intern. There I met a lot of Spanish people who became my friends. I heard interesting stories about the country, about the cuisine, the traditions etc. so I decided to come here and see it for myself."
