En fechas recientes se ha lanzado (por fin) el portal de Internet relacionado con el Plurilingüismo en Andalucía. Aún está en sus comienzos, pero es una buen iniciativa a tener en cuenta.

INTRODUCING OUR HIGH SCHOOL

We proudly present this simple digital presentation of our High School. The idea is to have a quick vision of our school for those interested to get to know more about us from abroad. This is the case of pen pals, school exchanges, international students, etc. We hope you like it!!

NO SCHOOL TRIP ABROAD THIS YEAR

Sad news... Unfortunately this school year we will not have our traditional school trip abroad.
First, we tried to arrange a school exchange with Germany but it did not come out in the end. Finally, our second option (a language course in Ireland) was not attractive enough for our students and we did not get the minimum number to make a group.
We are sorry we will not be able to do it this year but.... we are already planning our next!!

OUR PENPAL PROGRAMS

We like to engage our students into real contact with foreign students so that they realize learning a language is much more than passing a test or memorizing irregular verbs. We want them to use languages to communicate with other people around the World.
This year we are carrying out several penpal programs with different groups and schools abroad like:

• Blue Ridge High School in New Milford, Pennsylvania (USA)
• Gymnasium Gerabronn in Gerabronn (Germany), and
• Carolina Friends School in Durham, North Carolina (USA)

Thanks to these digital exchanges we can get to know other people, other schools, other communities and this helps us a lot to be First Class World Citizens.

We have titled the section "It´s a small world!¨and the first postcard was sent to us from Chicago (USA). We would like to get a full wall with postcards from all over the world. Stereotypes

One of the aims of any bilingual programme is to compare and contrast cultures and societies. Some years ago I made this presentation on the topic of stereotypes. They are frequent in all countries and cultures and can vary from funny to really offensive.
We must be careful when dealing with stereotypes as they are overgeneralizations not accurate at all!!

TORRE DE BPAPBEL

This year we have a novelty at school TORRE DE BPAPBEL. The idea is to have a bulletin board with texts, news articles, pieces of information in the three languages we study at school (Spanish, English and French).
