Hi there! My name is
Leah Shedrow and I am so excited to be a new language assistant in Corrales! I am from
Atlanta, Georgia in the U.S. and just graduated from the
University of Georgia with a degree in
Journalism, focusing on film and media studies! I love film and creating stories and different worlds. I also minored in
Spanish and studied abroad in Valencia two years ago, which made me realize my passion for the Spanish language and my infinite love for Spain! The experience in Valencia inspired me to return to Spain to explore my love of teaching and fulfill my dream of being immersed in Spanish life once again! I also developed a desire to travel and learn as many languages as possible, and have taught myself Italian and some Hebrew since that experience.
Apart from traveling, languages, and education, I absolutely love music! I took piano lessons for 10 years, participated in orchestra for 8 years, performed in many plays throughout middle school and high school, and sang in a girls group and choir in high school! I continued with choir for a year in college and also sang in an a cappella jazzs group. Overall I love the arts and am always happy writing songs or other stories!
I’m very happy to be placed in Huelva and at Juan Antonio Pérez Mercader and can’t wait to get started!
