NOISE

It is a fact: Spain is a noisy country and Spanish people make a lot of noise.
According to some studies we are the second noisiest country in the world just after Japan.

STOP THE PRESS!!

These days some ESO Year 2 students are making their first newspaper (just the front page to be more precise...).
They did a good job with text, pictures, layout, etc. And they also used their imagination a lot!! We can find news articles on politicians, sportspeople,  artists,scientists, etc.

Jornada de Trabajo del Plan Estratégico de las Lenguas


 El viernes 19 de febrero se celebra en Torremolinos (Málaga) una interesantísima Jornada de Trabajo para estudiar y definir el Plan Estratégico de las Lenguas para Andalucía para los próximos años.
  400 participantes (coordinadores bilingües, equipos directivos y profesorado en general) de toda nuestra región acuden para participar en varias mesas redondas donde se tratarán temas como:
  • Desarrollo y mejora del Programa Bilingüe
  • Formación y metodología
  • Optimizar el recurso de I+D+I
  • Interculturalidad
  • Exposición a idiomas
El coordinador de este IES acudió a la mesa de Desarrollo y mejora del Programa Bilingüe. Se constató una intención de reconducir el programa y ver cuáles son sus deficiencias para mejorarlas.
Los problemas más importantes son: falta de profesorado formado en lenguas extranjeras y metodología AICLE, falta de auxiliares de conversación, ratio de alumnado demasiado elevada para poder poner en práctica un enfoque comunicativo, falta de profesorado para hacer desdobles y agrupamientos flexibles para tratar la diversidad de niveles, etc.

WE VISIT HUELVA UNIVERSITY

We had a special day today with our Bachillerato Year 2 students. We went to El Carmen Campus in Huelva to get some useful information about different degrees this university has on offer.
According to their likes, students were guided through the campus to find out more about those studies, subjects, characteristics, etc.
